Cody Robinson Hired at Pampa

Pampa ISD looked just south to Lubbock ISD for their next head football coach/athletic director naming Lubbock Estacado defensive coordinator Cody Robinson to the post, replacing Greg Poynor who left to take the same role at Seminole. Robinson spent much of his early coaching career in East Texas coaching at Tyler Lee (Legacy) before making the move to Lubbock three years ago as Estacado’s defensive coordinator. This will be Robinson’s first head coaching job.

Marty Murr to Jarrell

Long-struggling Jarrell made a strong hire in landing San Augustine head coach Marty Murr as their next head football coach/athletic director.

Murr spent the past six seasons at San Augustine and had a great three-year run from 2017-2019 posting a 40-5 record and leading the Wolves to the state semifinals three straight years in 2A-Division I.

He has a career record of 99-47 with stops at Alto, Anahuac and San Augustine.
