Texas FCS programs endured a brutal weekend as Tarleton State and SFA were knocked out of the playoffs and Prairie View A&M fell just short of a historic Black college national title.

SFA fell to Montana State in the FCS quarterfinals after turning the ball over three times in the first half and digging a 24-0 hole. 

TCU needed to find its third offensive coordinator since Sonny Dykes took over in 2022 and the Horned Frogs are turning to Gordon Sammis from UConn to replace Kendal Briles. 

Kansas State defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman is expected to take over play calling duties for the Baylor Bears defense for the 2026 season. 

Texas A&M defensive coordinator Jay Bateman is headed to another SEC program.
