Last Week
1.North Texas Mean Green
Record: 3 - 0
Notes: The Mean Green have been flawless so far this season. They're now the prohibitive favorite to win Conference-USA.
Last Week: #2
2.TCU Horned Frogs
Record: 2 - 1
Notes: TCU proved it could hang with the nation's best, as it was a few mental mistakes away from beating Ohio State.
Last Week: #1
3.Texas A&M Aggies
Record: 2 - 1
Notes: It's time to figure out whether the performance against Clemson was sustainable, as the Aggies travel to face No. 1 Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
Last Week: #3
4.Texas Tech Red Raiders
Record: 2 - 1
Notes: The Red Raiders made a huge impression against Houston, and Alan Bowman is a bonafide star.
Last Week: #6
5.Texas Longhorns
Record: 2 - 1
Notes: Texas picked up its first signature win of the Tom Herman era. It remains to be seen how good USC is, but beating them down at home is a good start.
Last Week: #7
6.Houston Cougars
Record: 2 - 1
Notes: The Cougars fell back down to earth against Texas Tech, but Houston is still poised to make noise in the AAC.
Last Week: #4
7.Baylor Bears
Record: 2 - 1
Notes: Mistakes continue to compound in Waco. Not sticking a quarterback has continued to bite Matt Rhule's squad in the butt.
Last Week: #5
8.SMU Mustangs
Record: 0 - 3
Notes: SMU actually played pretty well offensively against Michigan, especially after true freshman Will Brown took over at quarterback.
Last Week: #8
9.Rice Owls
Record: 1 - 2
Notes: Rice had an off week, so the Owls stay steady at No. 9.
Last Week: #9
10.UTSA Roadrunners
Record: 0 - 3
Notes: UTSA didn't show many flashes on Saturday against Kansas State, and now has to enter conference play down 0-3.
Last Week: #10
11.Texas State Bobcats
Record: 1 - 2
Notes: The Bobcats blew a chance at a win over South Alabama. Losing Willie Jones hurt, but giving up 25 straight points is unforgivable.
Last Week: #11
12.UTEP Miners
Record: 0 - 3
Notes: UTEP's defense played pretty well against Tennessee, but that's about as nice as we can be to a team that's lost 15 straight games.
Last Week: #12
