Prospect on the Rise

Carthage 2021 QB Kai Horton (6'4, 215) picked up his first scholarship offer from SFA.

Horton is also receiving interest from schools like Louisiana Tech, Memphis, and Wyoming.

Horton was named the East Texas Newcomer of the Year after passing 3,746 and 49 touchdowns in 2019. He helped the Bulldogs to a 16-0 record and a state title.

Commit of the Week

Texas Tech had a busy week on the recruiting trail adding three new commitments: TE Jed Castles (Wichita Falls Rider), TE Mason Tharp (Klein), and OT Jack Tucker (Argyle)

Tucker is the highest-rated of the trio, selecting the Red Raiders over offers from 15 other high profile programs like Baylor, Illinois, and USC.

He picked up new offers from Arkansas, Alabama, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Michigan.

Thompson was also extended an invitation to play in the Under Armour All-America Game.

Thompson — who is known for his 10.20 100-meter speed — could play wide receiver or cornerback in college.
