Prospect on the Rise

Crockett 2020 TE Allen Horace was (6'5, 235) was one of seven TXHSFB prospects who deommitted in the wake of the Chad Morris firing at Arkansas.

Arkansas TXHSFB Decommits:

  • QB Chandler Morris - Highland Park
  • TE Brandon Frazier - McKinney North
  • WR Kelvontay Dixon - Carthage
  • TE Allen Horace - Crockett
  • WR Mason Mangum - Westlake
  • RB John Gentry - North Shore
  • WR Savion Williams - Marshall

Horace is rated as the No. 5 TE prospect in the state in the 2020 cycle. He's an exciting prospect who is one of the top basketball players in his area. On the grid, Horace is a very long, athletic prospect who wins with athleticism

Horace has been offered by schools like Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech, LSU, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.

Commit of the Week

Hutto 2020 WR Dajon Harrison (5'10, 170) committed to Texas.

The one-time TCU commit could play wide receiver or cornerback at the next level.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Two-way prospect as a receiver or a cover corner. Compensates for lack of ideal size with impressive on-field athleticism. Solid track times suggest good verifiable top-end speed. Elusive in close quarters and lateral fluidity suggests a relatively smooth full-time transition to corner if desired. On offense, Harrison tracks the football well and is exceptionally athletic after the catch.

Underclassman of the Week

Dallas Skyline 2021 WR QuayDarius Davis (6'0, 185) decommitted from Texas. It is Davis' second decommitment, as he was at one time also committed to SMU.

Davis was considering offers from schools like SMU, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, Florida, Nebraska and Oregon when he committed to UT.

Davis and his Dallas Skyline (7-3) teammates are set to face DeSoto (8-2) in the first round of the 6A-DI TXHSFB playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Friday at DeSoto's Eagle Stadium.

Recruit of the Week

Lindale 2021 RB Jordan Jenkins (6'1, 200) scored eight rushing touchdowns in a 64-50 win over Jacksonville. Jenkins toted the rock 26 times for 282 yards (10.8 YPC). Jenkins had TD runs of 11, 41, 39, 10, 6, 2, 12 and 1 yards.

Offers have already rolled in from schools like Baylor, Arkansas, BYU, and ULM.

Jenkins and his Lindale (7-3) teammates are set to face Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated (8-2) 7:30 p.m. Friday at Rosenberg's Traylor Stadium in the opening round of the 5A-DII playoffs.
