Joey McGuire strikes again.

This time, Texas Tech's first-year head coach has landed a transfer from former five-star tight end Baylor Cupp. The junior from Brock spent the past three seasons at Texas A&M.

His 2019 and 2020 seasons were cut short due to injuries. Cupp played in 10 games during the 2021 season, starting once. The 6-7, 240-pound tight end still has two years of eligibility.
