2023 Five-Star DE David "DJ" Hicks to Play at Allen in 2021

David Hicks has accepted an assistant coach position at Allen High after a successful coaching stint at Katy Morton Ranch. 

And that means his son  -- 2023 Five-Star defensive end David "DJ" Hicks (6'4, 250) -- is also headed to Allen to play his junior campaign for Chad Morris. 

Hicks has 30 scholarship offers, making him the most heavily recruited defensive prospect in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in the 2023 cycle. 

Offers: Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Houston, LSU, Miami (FL), Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, SMU, Stanford, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC, UTSA, Washington

Hicks was named to 2023 Top 25 in the DCTF Rising Magazine and was a standout at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Houston. 

Hicks is rated as a DCTF four-star and a 247Sports Composite five-star prospect.
