Brock Down to Final Five
Brock has narrowed their search for a new head coach to five candidates who will be brought in for the final round of interviews starting Monday. The five finalists include one internal candidate, one former head coach currently in the Big Country, a current DFW head coach, a current DFW defensive coordinator and a head coach in Central Texas. Expect a decision towards the end of the week.
San Antonio Cole Stays Local For New Head Coach
Basketball powerhouse San Antonio Cole, located on post at Fort Sam Houston, didn’t need to look far to name their next head football coach as San Antonio Jay defensive coordinator Scott Kissee was named the Cougars next head coach on Wednesday morning. He takes over for John Reyes, who resigned his post in late January.
Taylor Makes a Change
Taylor ISD on Wednesday reassigned AD/HFC Robert Little after two straight winless seasons. Little, who had a long and successful run at Riesel, was unable to duplicate that success just northeast of Austin. Taylor ISD has recently made some facility updates and will be looking for a splash hire to bring some energy back to town.

Alums Return Home at Hurst Bell and Lubbock Coronado
H-E-B ISD and Lubbock ISD both looked to graduates to lead the programs at Hurst Bell and Lubbock Coronado.
In the DFW area, Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD named Arlington defensive coordinator T.J. Dibble as the next head coach at Bell High. Dibble, a Bell graduate in 2000 who played at Sam Houston State, has spent time as an assistant at Euless Trinity, Carrollton Ranchview, Arlington Lamar, Arlington Martin and Arlington Sam Houston before being named defensive coordinator at Arlington High in 2017.
D.J. Mann, a 2002 graduate of Lubbock Coronado who played his college football at West Texas A&M, returns to the Hub City where he looks to continue the Mustangs success that they saw under Seth Parr, who left for Anna last month. Mann has been an assistant at Amarillo Palo Duro, Dallas Spruce, Wylie, Sulphur Springs, Crosby, Carrollton Ranchview and most recently Cedar Hill, where he served as the QB Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Mann has been an assistant on a pair of state runner-up teams in Wylie in 2008 and Cedar Hill in 2020 and in 2014 was the offensive coordinator for a state semifinalist at Crosby.
Lamar Consolidated ISD Hires Two Coaches
Lamar Consolidated was able to fill the vacancies for the head coaching jobs at Fulshear High and Richmond Randle High, which will open this fall.
The choice for Fulshear is Tomball offensive coordinator Nick Codutti, who is tabbed to replace Oschlor Flemming. Codutti, a native of Pennsylvania, does have head coaching experience as he spent three seasons leading Marshfield High School in Marshfield, Missouri. He came to Texas as offensive coordinator at Beaumont West Brook in 2015 before spending the last six seasons at Tomball.
The name at LCISD’s newest high school is a familiar one as Katy Mayde Creek head coach Brian Randle leaves Katy ISD after one year to take over at Randle High. Randle High School, which will begin varsity football in 2022, is named for longtime LCISD superintendent Dr. Thomas Randle, who also happens to be Coach Randle’s father. For Coach Randle, he cited the unique opportunity to work at the school named for his hero as a major factor in making the move.
