The Weekly TXHSFB Recruiting Dump (March 13)

Prospect on the Rise

This week we focus in on Fort Worth Christian 2020 WR Chance Luper (6'2, 168).

Luper added new offers from Power Five Conference schools like California, Louisville, and Wake Forest.

They join Georgia Southern, Arkansas State, Nevada, Boston College, Kansas and Liberty on Lupers early offer list.

Luper is the son of TCU assistant coach Curtis Luper.

Commit of the Week

Texas Tech picked up a commitment from Anna 2020 DB Abner Dubar (6'0, 176).

Dubar selected the Red Raiders over offers from Houston and Illinois State.

Next Level Scouting Report: "Dubar plays S/OLB/RB and is an all-around athlete. He closes quickly, is a physical tackler. His top-end speed appears decent but not a big time burner. We project him as a box type safety with the ability to match up in zone coverage."

Underclassman of the Week

All Saints 2021 OC James Brockermeyer (6'3, 227) picked up new offers from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State and received an offer to play in the 2021 All-American Bowl.

Those two Big 12 programs join SMU and Iowa on his offer list. Brockermeyer made an unofficial visit to Iowa this week and will take an unofficial visit to Texas on Friday.

Brockermeyer mad the Top 5 OL at the Next Level Athlete Showcase in Dallas in January.

Recruit of the Week

Southlake Carroll 2020 CB RJ Mickens (6'1, 185) named a Top 11: Alabama, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.

Mickens is the son of former Texas A&M defensive back Ray Mickens, who also played in the NFL.

Mickens emerged as one of the top two-way threats in TXHSFB this past season, earning 5-6A Utility Player of the Year honors.
