Texas State elevating Landon Keopple to offensive coordinator
GJ Kinne didn't have to look far for a successor to departing OC Mack Leftwich.
Texas State has been playing football since 1904, when it was known as Southwest Texas State Normal School. It's grown to become the fifth-largest university in the state, but the football program still has some growing to do, having only joined the FBS ranks in 2012. The Bobcats' peak as a program came under Wacker when Texas State won back-to-back Division II national championships in 1981 and 82.
