WR Jaydon Smith - Ingleside: Smith, who reminds me of former Cameron Yoe star Dede Westbrook, is dominating. He's the state's leading receiver and scored on 57.5% of his catches, hauling in 40 passes for 1,132 yards and 23 touchdowns. Smith is committed to North Texas, but his stat line should catch the eye of P5 schools looking for receiver help.

DE Jalen Charles - Manvel: The Memphis commit has been one of the state's most consistent pass rushers and playmakers behind the line of scrimmage. Charles has racked up 10 sacks, 18 TFLs and 83 tackles in seven games. He should shoot up some of the rankings lists.

LB Boone Morris - Mount Vernon: Morris can be described as a wrecking ball, but he also possesses tremendous length (77-inch wingspan) and a high football IQ, allowing him to key in on ball carriers quickly. He has collected 104 tackles in seven games. The three-star UTSA commit now has over 400 tackles in his high school career.

QB Brad Jackson - San Antonio Reagan: You have to look inside the numbers a bit to really appreciate the work that Jackson is putting in. He has efficiently completed over 75% of his passes, leading his team to a 6-0 record. The Texas State commit is one of the state's most experienced passers and has shown year-over-year improvement each season.

DE Zhaiylen Scott - Cedar Hill: You will not look at his defensive numbers and pick your jaw up off the floor, but if you go to a Cedar Hill game and see what he is doing on both sides of the ball, you will be impressed. Only a few players can do what Scott does at the 6A level. He is the team's leading rusher with 338 yards, four touchdowns, and eight TFLs on defense. Scott is uncommitted
