Three Key Additions
Who were the highest-rated signees or prospects who might come in and make a significant impact?
QB Behren Morton - Eastland: Morton is the type of quarterback who can put a lot of points on the scoreboard. The DCTF four-star reads defenses quickly to find open receivers and has a college-ready arm. Morton has improvisational qualities that make him unique.
WR Jerand Bradley - DeSoto: Bradley has tremendous size, strong hands, and runs well down the field. His excellent body control and leaping ability combined with his 6'5 frame make him a legitimate weapon in the red zone. Bradley is very tough to deal with in jump ball situations.
DE E'Maurion Banks - Wichita Falls Rider: Banks is an athletic defensive tackle prospect who showed good pass-rushing skills as a strongside defensive end before transitioning to the interior in 2020. It is rare to find players at his size who can move and disrupt in such a way.
Fan Favorite
What prospect was a fan favorite on social media or a local hero who starred near the campus?
RB Cam'ron Valdez - Rockdale: Valdez is considered a running back who can also split out and play wide receiver. He has added some weight and power as a senior. His ability to run between the tackles and catch the ball out of the backfield makes him a bonafide three-down back.
Super Sleeper
We pick one prospect on the commit list and break down how he might outplay his ranking in college.
TE Mason Tharp - Klein: Tharp is a massive pass-catching weapon who has experience lining up as an in-line tight end. He uses his reach and long arms to his advantage as a pass catcher and as a blocker. Despite being tall, he can play with leverage and shows that he is a willing and able blocker.
