Three Key Additions

Who were the highest-rated signees or prospects who might come in and make a significant impact?

RB Jordan Jenkins - Lindale: Jenkins is a downhill runner who is not shy to contact; as a matter of fact, he seems to relish it. At times it looks like he is seeking out defenders to punish and run over. In addition to being a bruiser, Jenkins is known for his sub-11-second 100-meter speed.

QB Kyron Drones - Shadow Creek: Drones a proven winner with a state title under his belt. He is a pass-first quarterback who is a reliable and effective runner. The Elite 11 finalist is a smart and cerebral quarterback. Drones scans defenses quickly in the RPO scheme and has a strong arm to push the ball down the field.

WR Elijah Bean - Summer Creek: Bean possesses good speed and athleticism relative to his long and wiry frame. He is a deep, vertical threat who has the track speed to run by defensive backs and the leaping ability to high-point the ball—a dangerous combination of skills.

Fan Favorite

What prospect was a fan favorite on social media or a local hero who starred near the campus?

OL Tate Williams - Wall: Williams burst onto the radar out of nowhere. The small school star has the strength and size to dominate the line of scrimmage and the frame and upside to be considered a four-star recruit. Williams' versatility is an asset as he could play tackle, guard, or center at a very high level.

Super Sleeper

We pick one prospect on the commit list and break down how he might outplay his ranking in college.

DE Cooper Lanz - Denton Guyer: Lanz is not a flashy player but he is a playmaker. The words control, intelligence, and power quickly come to mind when thinking of his style. His long arms also allow him to maintain separation as he engages blockers and gets down the line.
