Boerne Champion 2024 LB Gage Goldberg (6'1, 215), the son of wrestling legend and former Georgia Bulldogs and NFL defensive lineman Bill Goldberg, has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity at the University of Colorado.

Goldberg announced his commitment on social media.

"After a great conversation, I am honored to announce that I am committing to the University of Colorado to continue my football and academic career," Goldberg wrote. Goldberg is a two-sport athlete excelling at football and baseball for the Chargers.

"Gage has a nose for the ball and is extremely physical," reported Boerne Champion head coach Blane Ellis.

Goldberg's father played on the Atlanta Falcons (1992-94) with Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, where they became friends. Goldberg has jokingly referred to himself as Sanders' enforcer.
