Texas running back Jonathon Brooks is expected to enter the NFL Draft, according to 247Sports.

The former Hallettsville star and Mr. Texas Football Player of the Year had a breakout season for the Longhorns rushing for 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns before a season-ending ACL tear vs TCU. Despite not completing the season, Brooks still finished just outside the Top 10 in the nation in rushing yards.

Star wideout Xavier Worthy had previously announced his intentions to enter the Draft following Texas’ loss in the College Football Playoff.

After Brooks' injury, Texas’ backfield went with a committee approach of CJ Baxter, Jaydon Blue and Savion Red to close the season but additionally will also have the likes of Tre Wisner and incoming four-star running back Jerrick Gibson headed into 2024.
