Denton Ryan linebacker Anthony Hill backed away from his Texas A&M pledge on Monday afternoon. The five-star originally pledged to the Aggies back on July 30. Texas A&M lost its sixth straight on Saturday against Florida. Hill registered 105 tackles, including 11 for loss and three sacks. He also broke up three passes , forced two fumbles, recovered three, and came up with two interceptions. He returned one of those fumble recoveries for a touchdown. Hill had 105 tackles as a sophomore in 2020 for a state championship team.
Recruiting experts peg Hill as a Texas lean now with the Longhorns seemingly surging on the defensive side of the ball for the 2023 cycle. Many believe Westlake edge rusher Colton Vasek will flip from Oklahoma.
