Prospect on the Rise

2022 DeSoto DB Devyn Bobby (5'10, 175) is having a huge senior season and is now a member of the DCTF Hot 100.

Bobby has been a ball-hawk, constantly around the ball making tackles and pulling down interceptions when offenses try to test him in the passing game.

The DCTF three-star prospect is verbally committed to Baylor.

Scouting Report vs. Duncanville: Amid a night that was all about Duncanville and Reggie Samples 300th win, DeSoto defensive back Devyn Bobby shined. The Baylor commit held up his end of the bargain for the Eagle defense finishing with several impressive tackles behind the LOS and plays in coverage downfield. Including a key interception early in the game. He’s a steal for Baylor if the Bears can hold on until signing day. - Guy Frazier

Commit of the Week

Killeen Shoemaker 2022 WR/CB Omari Evans (6'0, 170) committed to Penn State over offers from Baylor, Houston, SMU, Texas Tech, Rutgers, Vanderbilt and more.

Evans is rated as a DCTF three-star prospect, checking in at No. 97 in the DCTF Hot 100.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Evans is genuinely a versatile prospect. He could excel on either side of the football, but he loves having the football in his hands. His combination of speed and agility allows him to exploit defensive backs and rack up yardage after the catch.

Underclassmen of the Week

John Tyler is a program full of young stars, but one of the most exciting prospects is 2024 ATH Derrick McFall (5'11, 175)

McFall picked up his first scholarship offer this week from Texas.

It is easy to see what the UT coaching staff saw in McFall. He is electric with the football in his hands, and his explosion and burst jump out on tape.

Recruit of the Week

Frisco Memorial 2022 WR Zion Steptoe (6'0, 170) decommitted from Utah.

Steptoe, who is one of the top-rated WRs in the DFW, also holds offers from schools like Purdue, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky and Pittsburgh.

So far this season, Steptoe has hauled in 28 receptions for 413 yards and four touchdowns.
