Prospect on the Rise

McKinney 2022 DB Damon Youngblood (5’11, 180) stood out in a week one 35-28 win over Springdale (Ark.) Har-Ber.

The Louisiana-Lafayette commit accumulated two pass breakups, an interception, and a receiving touchdown to highlight his contributions to the victory.

It will be interesting to see how his recruitment unfolds throughout his senior season, especially if he continues to play like he did this past weekend.

Commit of the Week

Marlin 2022 DT JaRay Bledsoe (6'4, 270) committed to the Texas Longhorns over Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M and Alabama offers.

Bledsoe checks in at No. 38 in the DCTF Hot 100 and is rated as a four-star prospect.

Scouting Report: Bledsoe is a freakish athlete who has had a lot of success on the offensive side of the football. His overall athleticism is what makes such a unique prospect and why you saw an offer list that featured some of the nation's top-rated college programs.

Underclassmen of the Week

Southlake Carroll 2023 QB Kaden Anderson (6'4, 205) stepped into the spotlight in a 45-21 win over a tough Highland Park squad.

Anderson completed 16 of 24 passes for 261 yards and scored four touchdowns, stepping in for former No. 1-rated QB Quinn Ewers who opted to forego his senior season to begin a college career at Ohio State.

It appears the future of the Dragons offense is in good hands with the junior signal-caller who attended camps at Baylor and TCU this summer.

Recruit of the Week

Cypress Bridgeland 2022 QB Connor Weigman (6'2, 210) went off in a 54-14 win over Klein Cain.

The Texas A&M commit was nominated for Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week after completing 23 of 33 passes for 358 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed for 104 yards and two 2 TDs and reeled in a 47-yard TD reception.

Weigman is rated as the No. 15 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100.
