Marlin 2022 DT JaRay Bledsoe (6'4, 270) committed to the Texas Longhorns over Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M and Alabama offers.

Bledsoe collected 14 total offers.

Bledsoe checks in as the No. 38 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100 and is rated as the No. 2 DT prospect in the state.

The DCTF four-star transferred to Marlin after earning all-district honors as a running back and as a defensive lineman as a junior. He rushed for over 1,200 yards and racked up more than 100 tackles.

Scouting Report:

At 6'4, 270 Bledsoe is a freakish athlete who has had a lot of success on the offensive side of the football. His overall athleticism is what makes such a unique prospect and why you saw an offer list that featured some of the nation's top-rated college programs.

While it is fun to watch the big man score touchdowns, his future will be on the defensive front. As a defender, Bledsoe is active and closes on the ball quickly.

He is bigger, stronger, and almost always faster than the players he lines up across from at the high school level, so it will be interesting to see how his game translates to college.

Bledsoe has all of the tools that you look for in a young up-and-coming defensive star but will have to step up from small-town Texas football to the bigtime in Austin.
