East Texas Baptist (2-0) at Louisiana College (0-0)

When: 1 p.m. Saturday at Wildcat Field in Pineville, La.

Broadcast: LC Sports Net

The Matchup: ETBU is one of a few teams to have played more than one game this spring. The Tigers have been dominant on the road and at home thus far in the spring and are setting themselves up for a nice fall season.

Louisiana College is a team in transition, to put it mildly. Drew Maddox was named the coach of the Tigers on Feb. 4th. Maddox has had three weeks with his team who is also in their final year of Division III football before moving back to NAIA.

Players to Watch:

ETBU - Jalen Blanton, WR, Jr, Rosser, Texas (West Texas A&M)

Justice Henson, LB, Shreveport, La. (Louisiana Tech)

KJ Kelley, DB, Abilene, Texas (Hardin-Simmons)

LC - Markaylin Milburn, RB, Jr, Opelousas, La. (Beau Chene HS)

Sal Palermo III, QB, So, Walker, La. (Live Oak HS)

Julius Johnson, LB, Sr, Abbeville, La. (Kaplan HS)

Key to Victory: ETBU may not be challenged in this contest but the Tigers need to use this game to prepare for next week when they host Mary Hardin-Baylor. The Tigers defense has been outstanding forcing six turnovers in two games.

The Tigers have relied on their defense to win this season. While that is usually a good recipe for success, ETBU will need its offense to protect the football and be more efficient to compete with the top teams in the American Southwest Conference.

Prediction: ETBU by 45
