TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft. Reagor announced his decision on Twitter.

Reagor leaves TCU as one of the best receivers in program history. He finished No. 7 on the career receptions list (148), No. 6 on the career yardage list (2,248) and tied for second on the receiving touchdowns list. His sophomore total of 1,061 yards trailed only Josh Doctson in program history.

A year ago, Reagor set a program record with a receiving touchdown in seven straight games. However, TCU struggled to capitalize on his immense talents throughout his career. As a junior, Reagor caught just 43 passes for 611 yards, despite being perhaps the best overall receiving talent in the state. Quarterback inconsistency played a big part in his lackluster numbers.

TCU went to the Big 12 championship game in Reagor’s first season. Since then, the Horned Frogs went just 12-13.

However, Reagor is still considered to be a borderline first round NFL Draft pick. His elite speed and athleticism should test well at the NFL Combine, and he still has enough film to prove his tremendous ability.

With Reagor’s departure, TCU is at a dire position at wide receiver. Sophomores Taye Barber and Tevailance Hunt are the only returners on the roster who posted more than 200 yards in 2019. Top running backs Darius Anderson and Sewo Olonilua are also gone to graduation.

Before TCU, Reagor starred at Waxahachie High School and was a national top 100 recruit. As a senior, he posted 50 receptions for 967 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is the son of Montae Reagor, who played nine seasons in the NFL and was part of the 2006 Indianapolis Colts team that won Super Bowl XLI.
