Prospect on the Rise

Antonian College Prep 2020 DE Devin Grant (6'2, 230) earned and accepted an invitation to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl.

The Colorado commit will play in the annual East vs. West match-up on Saturday, January 4, 2020, in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The Bowl will be nationally televised live on NBC and will feature a portion of the nation's top 100 high school football players.

Grant is not yet rated, but he is a contender for the DCTF Top 100 based on his senior tape

Commit of the Week

Longview 2020 DL Sawyer Goram-Welch (6'4, 270) committed to Oklahoma State.

Goram-Welch collected 65 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss and five sacks to help lead the Lobos to a 6A-DII state title in 2018.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Goram-Welch plays up and down the line at Longview. Has the lower body size and strength that you look for. Ready to go from that perspective. Good hand strength. Moves decent but is not super athletic. Has the frame potential to add and hold weight.

Underclassman of the Week

Cibolo Steele 2021 QB Wyatt Beagel (6'0, 175) picked up an offer from Rice.

Beagel is receiving interest from an abundance of other programs and camped at schools like Baylor, Kansas, La. Tech, Oklahoma, UIW and more.

The Knights are always a contender and are having another strong season in 2019 (5-2).

Beagel was one of the top performers at the Next Level Athlete Top 100 Showcase in Houston.

Recruit of the Week

Cypress Lakes 2020 ATH Sofian Massoud (6'1, 180) gets my vote for Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week after passing for 521 yards and six touchdowns and rushing for 128 yards and four scores in 70-73 loss to Tomball Memorial.

Massoud, who moved from New York City to Cypress in the offseason, is verbally committed to Houston.
