Cypress Bridgland 2021 TE Dylan Crippen (6'4, 240) is a name to know at one of the state's newest D1 factories. 

Bridgeland went 3-7 in its inaugural TXHSFB season, but the expectations are higher in 2019. 

Bridgeland qualified for the state 7-on-7  tournament and made a deep run in the consolation bracket, showcasing talent on both sides of the football.  

"We don't have any upperclassmen; no seniors," Crippen explained. "So we had to come together as a team and work together more than other teams do, because we didn't have the experience."

Crippen, who has been hearing from in-state programs like Rice, Texas A&M and Houston, will be a big part of the Bears' 2019 success and has the talent, size, and athleticism that will excite P5 tight end coaches.  

"My biggest strength is my physicality," Crippen answered when asked whats sets him apart on the field. "Colleges are looking at me because I am physical and I run good routes. I just try to make plays."

Crippen, who reports a 4.0 GPA, has academics high on his priorities list. He is looking for his first offer, and it certainly could be from a local school like Rice.  

"That's a big point (of emphasis)," Crippen said when asked about academics.  

"Rice has nice facilities," said Crippen, who also reported unofficial visit to Texas A&M this spring. 

"It's pretty new. I think they built it around two years ago, so it's nice brand new stuff. The coaches are nice; they were glad to have me up there, and they were really helpful."

Crippen had a strong performance at the TCU camp in June.
