Wylie East 2025 DB Michael Henderson III (5'9, 170) committed to Texas Tech over Texas State.
Texas Tech secondary coach and passing game coordinator Marcel Yates led the charge in his recruitment.
"I see Texas Tech consistently growing as a program, and I want to help and continue to grow the program as much as I possibly can," Henderson said.
Henderson loved the family vibe in Lubbock.
"Since the day they offered me, they’ve made it seem like family and I just want to be around a group of coaches them i can have a great bond with and that’s how it has been from day one," Henderson reported.
Henderson was a Mr. Do It All at Wylie East in 2023, playing running back and defensive back. On offense, he racked up over 800 yards and 12 touchdowns. On defense, he collected 32 tackles, two INTs and two TFLs.
Henderson is rated as a DCTF three-star prospect.
