The Texas pass defense was the Longhorns' weakest link in 2023, finishing 113th in the nation in passing yards allowed per game. On Tuesday, the program lost one of it's most proven defensive backs. Junior corner Terrance Brooks annonced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Twitter.

Brooks started 13 games for Texas's first College Football Playoff team in program history, earning honorable mention All-Big 12. He tied for the team lead with three interceptions and finished second with six pass breakups.

Brooks was a four-star prospect out of Little Elm who flipped from Ohio State to Texas on Early Signing Day.
