Below are the magic and tragic numbers for teams to secure a Lone Star Conference tournament spot.

Lone Star Conference Men

While a six-way and five-way tie remains possible for the final five spots in the LSC men’s tournament, ENMU, SEU, and ASU have secured a place in Frisco due to owning the tiebreaker advantage in all scenarios. That leaves us watching the battle for the final two seeds when play begins inside the Comerica Center next week. TAMIU owns the tiebreaker over UTPB and Cameron. The Dustdevils clinch a spot in the postseason with a victory or loss by UTPB or Cameron. The Falcons hold the tiebreaker edge over the Aggies and secure a place with a win over ASU or a loss by Cameron to MSU. Cameron is in the precarious position of needing a win and a loss by UTPB or TAMIU to make it to Frisco.

Lone Star Conference Women

A three-way tie between UAFS, TAMUK, and Cameron is possible if the Aggies defeat MSU and the Lions and Javelinas lose. However, Cameron does not own the advantage in any tiebreaker scenario, eliminating the Aggies from the postseason. UAFS holds the edge over the Javelinas thanks to a win over UT Tyler earlier in the season. TAMUK needs a win at home against TAMIU and the Lions to lose at home to Oklahoma Christian to secure a place in Frisco.
