Turns out GJ Kinne isn't just an offensive guru. Texas State received some more manpower in the effort to Take Back Texas with Steven Parker and Tunmise Adeleye signing on Wednesday night.

Kinne's still plucking players from his 2022 UIW team, Parker being the latest example. The South Oak Cliff alum spent his first three collegiate seasons at Kansas before transferring to UIW for the 2022 season. He broke out in 2023 with 14.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks, earning Southland Defensive Player of the Year, DCTF's Defensive Lineman of the Year for the All-Texas Non-FBS team and numerous All-American honors. Parker will have one season of eligibility remaining.

Adeleye was a five-star in the class of 2021 out of Katy Tompkins who, like Parker, is now on his third school. Adeleye transferred to Michigan State for the 2023 season after playing in three games over two seasons at Texas A&M. He registered nine tackles and a sack in six games of action for the Spartans before leaving the program in late October.

Texas State's defense ranked second in the nation with 8.3 tackles for loss per game. Now, it just got stronger.
