Port Neches-Groves 2025 OT Jackson Christian (6'5, 300) stood out on a loaded offensive front, so it was no surprise that he holds offers from programs like Houston, North Texas, SMU, Texas, Texas State and UTSA.

Christian and the PNG offensive front did a great job controlling the action in a 20-17 win over South Oak Cliff in the 5A Division II state title game. 

"Everybody did their job this year," Christian said. "Everybody was focused in practice. The defense did a really good job. All the coaches did a really good job."

"It was good," Christian answered when asked what it was like in the trenches. "We all played as a whole, and that is what I love about this offensive line. We got the job done."

With plenty of offers on the board, Christian is taking a patient approach to recruiting.

"I'm not really worried about that right now," Christian said. "I am just worried about being a PNG Indian and having a good senior year. I will worry about that next year. I haven't even thought about it that much." 

Former PNG star Roschon Johnson starred for the Longhorns before moving on to the NFL to play for the Chicago Bears, and Jackson had a chance to see UT in person for an unofficial gameday visit.

"UT versus Kansas," Christian said. "I mean, that atmosphere at UT is pretty cool. There is a lot energy. DKR is pretty cool, the stadium."

Christian looks up to former Dallas Cowboys standout Larry Allen, so winning a state title on the same field as his idol was a surreal experience.

"AT&T is a special thing," Christian said. "You are 15, 16, 17, going to an NFL field and playing in high school. It is a special thing." 

Christian was named one of the Top 100 prospects in the Class of 2025 in DCTF Rising magazine.
