The Fort Bend Ridge Point offense is led by talented Class of 2024 wideouts Ashton Bethel-Roman (6'2, 170) and Mason Dossett (6'1, 180)

"Each time one of us makes a big play, we're all feeding off of that energy," Dossett said of the 1-2 punch. "Just trying to make bigger plays."

Both are DCTF three-star prospects with fathers who played college football at a P5 level, and both report 16 scholarship offers.

Bethel-Roman Looking for NFL-Style Development

Bethel-Roman is the son of former LSU Tigers S Mark Roman, who played with the Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers, and San Francisco 49ers.

Bethel-Roman collected 37 receptions for 892 yards and eight touchdowns to earn first-team all-district honors as a junior in 2022.

On the recruiting front, he is hearing the most from "Baylor, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Purdue, Cal and Kansas State" at this point in the race.

Bethel-Roman has good in-state and out-of-state options.

"I don't have a preference," Bethel-Roman said. "Whatever school that is inside the United States of America that is going to represent me as a priority and get me to the next level, that's where I'm going."

"I am going to drop my top schools somewhat at the beginning of the summer, and then I am going to go on three official visits and commit right after that."

Bethel-Roman confirmed that he has an official visit set for Texas Tech on June 9.

What is a college going to have to do to win his talents?

"They show that I am a priority within their program and that they can get me to the NFL, that next level," Bethel-Roman reaffirmed. "Because the end all be all is not college football."

Dossett Dialing in on Three Colleges

Dossett is the son of former Baylor Bears WR and track star Martin Dossett, who signed with the Green Bay Packers.

Dossett collected 46 receptions for 660 yards and four touchdowns to earn second-team all-district honors as a junior in 2022.

On the recruiting front, Dossett reports high interest in three universities.

"The big offers right now, like my top schools are Baylor, Purdue and Duke," Dossett said. "Really those are my top three right now."

Dossett on Baylor: "Really just the coaching staff. Coach Baker. Coach Aranda. Coach Hunt. Just the relationships I've built with them is huge for me."

Dossett on Purdue: "I haven't been up there yet. I plan to go up and in about two weeks or so. I'm really excited to go up there as well and get to see what they are about."

Dossett on Duke:  "The running backs coach there coached my dad in college. So building the connection with him there is huge for me. Just knowing that he believes in me, especially coaching my dad, is huge for that as well."

When it comes down to it Dossett says his "deciding factor" will be a strong "connection" to the coaching staff.
