Prosper High offensive coordinator Tyler Moore has been promoted to head coach, Prosper ISD announced on Monday.

Moore replaced Brandon Schmidt, who departed in late January to take over as head football coach at College Station A&M Consolidated.

“I’ve been in Prosper for eight years. IIt’s a great school, great community with great support," Moore said. "I’m beyond excited that Prosper ISD administration trusts me enough to take over this program. Coach Schmidt did great things and I just want to continue that tradition and keep building."

Moore has spent the last eight seasons at Prosper and the last seven as the offensive coordinator under Coach Schmidt as he helped guide Prosper to a state semifinal appearance in 2022 and three straight regional final appearances from 2019-2021.

Coach Moore is native of Georgetown. He earned his degree from Texas A&M University. He served as a wide receivers coach for four seasons at Cedar Park prior to arriving in Prosper.
