Lewisville is one of the state's most talent-rich programs, so many are picking them as one of the favorites for the 6A championship heading into the 2023 season.

19 colleges visited Lewisville last week in two days.

Class of 2024

ILB Mark Cooper (5'11, 200): Cooper is one of the team's defensive leaders and easily passes the eyeball test. He is an impressive specimen—a sure tackler who quickly sees through the traffic to find the ball carrier. Cooper was a second-team all-district selection.

RB Viron Ellison (6'0 170): A back with tremendous first-step explosion who always runs extremely hard. Ellison is a player who could factor in at multiple positions at the next level, but he has been highly productive out of the backfield, rushing for over 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns. Colorado State, Missouri and Texas State have offered, and Florida State, Oklahoma and Penn State are showing interest.

DB Jaydan Hardy (6'0, 175): The class headliner is a versatile defensive back who could play safety, corner, or nickel in college. Many colleges are talking to him about playing nickel, which has become one of the essential elements of a great defense. Hardy has collected 25 scholarship offers and schools to watch: Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M and Tennessee.

WR Lamar Kerby (6'1, 180): An extremely athletic wide receiver specimen has caught the eye of some top colleges like Arizona State, Baylor, Missouri, TCU and Texas Tech. Kerby has plans to visit BU for junior day and is also catching interest from Oklahoma. As a junior, Kerby led the team with 38 receptions for 427 yards and two touchdowns.

OL Devin Love (6'4, 325): The massive offensive lineman will play some tackle in 2023, but colleges will be recruiting him as a guard where he can use his superior size and strength to overpower defenders and clear running lanes. Colleges have already started to take notice as he has earned early offers from Alabama State, Alcorn State and North Texas. BYU, Cal and Oklahoma are also showing interest.

CB Tony-Louis Nkuba (6'1, 170): The long, rangy cornerback recently secured DB MVP honors at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase, and his recruitment has been a whirlwind since. Texas Tech was a program that stepped up and offered early on, but schools like Arizona State, Texas State, Tulsa, New Mexico State, Cal and SMU have offered since. More offers will roll in, so Nkuba's overall big picture is still developing.

QB Ethan Terrell (6'1, 180): Terrell blossomed into one of the state's most prolific dual-threat QBs in 2022, racking up 1,302 yards passing and 1,080 rushing with 25 touchdowns. He is an impressive specimen who owns an offer from Texas Southern and will get more attention as schools stop by in the spring evaluation period.

Other Names to Know:

DL Adetola Adeogun, LB Alijah Alleyne, K/P Eric Arias, DB Damarius Burel, LB Micheal Canterbury, OL Xavion Davis, DL O'marius Dimry-Lockhart, WR Tye Miller, Edge Dennis Moss III, WR Dylon Myrow, DL Eghosa Ogieriakhi, DB Ore Olayinka, Edge Antoine Palmer, RB Vance Walker, OL Christian Wallace

Class of 2025

OT Michael Fasusi (6'5, 285): Fasusi will be one of the top recruits in the DFW, regardless of position. "The why is pretty simple," Lewisville head coach Michael Odle said with a smile. "He's 6'5 and a half, 300 pounds, and he runs a 5-flat 40. As the numbers talk about how amazing and talented he is, he is a better person." Fasusi has been on fire in recruiting and now holds nine offers (Duke, Missouri, Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Tulsa).

EDGE Rhyan Sewell (6'1, 220): Earned first-team all-district honors after a strong showing in 2022. Sewell is an exciting specimen who is athletic off the edge and can play with his hand in the dirt or standing up.

Other Names to Know:

DB Corey Hardy, OL Sean Hutton, TE Gabriel Lewis, OLB Sean Oliver, QB/ATH Zephen Walker

Class of 2026

RB Tenel Hill (5'10, 195): Hill dominated at the sub-varsity level before getting called up late in the season. He was able to score his first varsity touchdown against Keller. Hill runs with a bruising style, which should complement Ellison's talent in the backfield. His emergence could help keep the Farmers' backfield fresh all season.

Other Names to Know:

ATH Dylan Davis, OL Malachi McLennon, OL Aiden Murphy, Johnathon Sida
