Cy-Fair 2025 DE Landon Rink (6'3, 255) is the son of former Texas Longhorns standout DL Shane Rink (1991-95).

"My dad played at Texas, and he started. I am pretty sure he started three years, and he was pretty good," Rink said. "He's my coach, trainer, and my mentor, everything. So he really teaches me everything I know. He prepared me for this camp and Friday nights. We just work out all the time, constantly."

Rink pointed out that his mom (Linda Rink) played goalie in college and his sister (Payton Rink) is a volleyball player at OBU, so he comes from a very athletic family.

On the recruiting front, Rink has offers from schools like Baylor, Oklahoma, SMU, Texas, Texas Tech, Tulsa and USC. Notre Dame is another program that is showing serious interest.

Texas: "I have a great relationship with the coaches. Coach Sark (Steve Sarkisian) is awesome. When I go up there I just feel so comfortable, and at home every time I go up there."

Texas Tech: "I have known Coach (Joey) McGuire for a long time now, since I was a little kid. It was my first offer. That day was great when I got offered by them. When I went up for a visit it was all love."

Notre Dame: "They have just been keeping contact and they want to get me up there for a visit, showing me love, and telling me I would fit in good with their program."
