2022 OT Kelvin Banks Jr. (6'5, 300) announced a commitment to Texas on Saturday, picking the 'Horns overs offers from Texas A&M, Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon and more.

Banks is rated as a DCTF five-star prospect, checking in as the No. 1 OT. in the state. He is the first DCTF five-star offensive lineman to commit to UT since Kent Perkins in the 2013 cycle.

Scouting Report:  Banks is one of the nation's most heavily pursued offensive tackle prospects who also has the strength and power to play any position up front.

While he has the look of a prototype offensive tackle, the DCTF Super Team member has the versatility and power to be an All-American at tackle or guard in college. He has the length, footwork, and strength that college coaches desire upfront.

While Banks is considered one of the best in TXHSFB, his overall upside and long-term potential make him truly special.

Banks possesses a lot of natural strengths. He has ideal height, weight and athleticism. He will draw some comparisons to former Allen five-star OT Greg Little. In comparison, Banks is more of a bully at the point of attack.

Banks made an early pledge to Oklahoma State but opened things back up once he started picking up offers from coast-to-coast. He then committed to Oregon before the start of his senior season but backed off of that pledge when Mario Cristobal left for Miami (FL).

Banks was the OL MVP at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in Houston.
