Flower Mound DE Stone Eby (6'4, 245) picked SMU over offers Baylor, Duke, Iowa State, Purdue, Washington State and more. 

"I want to say thank you to all the coaches who took a chance on me and gave me the opportunity to Division 1 football," Eby said. "With that being said, I am staying home and will be attending Southern Methodist University."

Eby is rated as a three-star prospect and was one of the standouts at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in Dallas. 

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Eby has perfect length and has plenty of room to add more weight to his frame. When playing DE, he shows a good initial step and quickness. Eby appears to be much stronger in upper body (from the end of the season to January), getting good press and separation from blockers. Runs and moves well. Plays with a good motor. He is still developing as a defensive lineman, so his best days are still in front of him—a great upside for development.

Eby racked up 78 tackles, 22 tackles for a loss, and six sacks to earn first-team all-district honors in 2019.
