The Texas Longhorns 2020 recruiting class grew by one on Tuesday evening when Carthage WR Kelvontay Dixon (6'0, 170) pulled the trigger on his commitment to UT.

First and foremost, I would like to thank God, my mom, and my coaches for pushing me hard each and every day, making me who I am today. With that being said I am proudly committed to the University of Texas," Dixon said.

Dixon, the younger brother of UT RB Keaontay Ingram, picked the Longhorns over offers from schools like Arkansas, Houston and UTSA.

Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: Three-sport athlete who excels on the gridiron and the track. State contender in 4A 100 meters and triple jump. High-production receiver with occasional snaps in the backfield. Dangerous in the return game. An all-around offensive athlete with the build of a corner who allows a staff to be creative with his touches.

Dixon checks in as the No. 68 prospect in the 2020 DCTF Texas Hot 100 and the No. 11 WR in the Lone Star State.

Dixon capped off a memorable TXHSFB career with a state championship and Offensive MVP honors of the 4A Division I game. He collected seven receptions for 120 and three touchdowns to help lead Carthage to its seventh state title in the past 13 years.

In his two-year prep career, Dixon racked up over 2,500 receiving yards and scored 37 touchdowns.
