DCTF Rising Coverboy -- Galena Park North Shore CB Denver Harris (6'1, 175) -- announced his commitment to Texas A&M.

"I just went with A&M," Harris said. "I liked it. They liked me."

Harris signed to the Aggies over offers from Texas, Alabama and LSU. He informed the media following North Shore's 17-10 win over Duncanville in the 6A Division I state title game.

"I never thought about college football or nothing," Harris answered when asked if his decision-making was a distraction. "I just came out here and execute and focused on the main goal."

The DCTF five-star is rated as the No. 1 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100 (No. 1 CB).

Harris was named to the Whataburger Super Team and will play in the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 2.

Harris helped lead North Shore to a 6A Division I state championship in 2019, was named the District 21-6A Defensive Player of the Year in 2020 and helped Lead North Shore to a 6A Divison I state championship game in 2021.

Scouting Report: Considered a top-five cornerback prospect nationally, showcasing the ability to shadow wide receivers and plays with an attacking, daring style. Harris is confident in coverage playing with the swagger needed to completely lock down the opposition's top wideout. Stands out on a field of standouts because he has size and length rare in a cornerback prospect, plus he has the speed in pads to run with anyone.
