East Bernard ISD on Monday night named Gilmer Harmony head coach Jeremy Jenkins as the Brahmas next athletic director/head football coach.

Jenkins replaces Wade Bosse, who moved into an administrative role in EBISD after leading the Brahmas to an 8-4 mark in 2023.

Jenkins has spent the past two seasons as Harmony’s head coach where he led the Eagles to a surprise 2022 state semifinal appearance in 3A-Division II and  a 10-3 record in 2023.

Jenkins has a career head coaching record 47-17 in five seasons. He spent 2019 at Mount Enterprise and was the head coach at Tenaha in 2020 and 2021. He's never had a season where he won less than five games.

Known for years as a team who relied heavily on the run game operating out of the Slot-T offense, East Bernard has slowly opened the offense up in recent years, which should make the transition to a more wide-open offense that Jenkins has run a big smoother.

Jenkins departure from Harmony leaves one of the more attractive small school jobs in East Texas vacant as there will be sure to be plenty of qualified applicants when Harmony ISD posts the job opening.
