UTSA has hired Corey Jordan as Director of Player Personnel and assistant safeties coach. Mike Roach of 247Sports was the first to report.

Jordan, a former All-State performer at Bishop Lynch and All-American defensive back at Abilene Christian, spent the past four seasons serving as McKinney High School's defensive coordinator and associate head coach. He most recently mentored four-star Texas safety signee Xavier Filsaime, Boston College corner signee Ashton McShane and 2025 three-star Zay Gentry.  He's also served as the recruiting coordinator at every stop along his 12-year coaching career, including stints at Allen and West Mesquite.

UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor has made it a point to hire former high school coaches. Defensive coordinator Jess Loep was safeties coach at Prosper High School. Offensive line coach Kurt Traylor's spent time at Jacksonville, Gilmer and Tyler Legacy High School. Most recently, associate head coach and wide receivers coach Joe Price was hired from North Shore High School to be the Director of Player Personnel from 2020-21.

This is a developing story.
