Mike Elko and the Aggies secured a huge win in the transfer portal Thursday with former Purdue outside linebacker Nic Scourton.

Scourton, a Second Team All-Big Ten selection in 2023, led Purdue with 10 sacks and added 15 tackles for loss. He was the No.1-ranked edge rusher in the portal at 6-feet-4-inches, 280 pounds. After losing Walter Nolen and Fadil Diggs to the transfer portal, Elko has a signature building block to re-establish the Wrecking Crew defense he erected as Texas A&M's defensive coordinator from 2018-21.

Scourton was a two-time all-district selection and 2022 All-American Bowl participant at Bryan High School, just a ten-minute drive from Texas A&M's campus. He'll have two seasons of eligbility remaining.
