Braxton Harris to leave Houston Christian, become head coach at Campbell

Braxton Harris is leaving Houston Christian to become head coach at Campbell, sources confirmed to Dave Campbell’s. Harris was the linebacker coach at Campbell, an FCS program in North Carolina, in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. 

Harris led Houston Christian, formerly Houston Baptist, to a 5-5 overall record and a 4-3 mark in the Southland Conference in his only year in charge of the Huskies. He went 7-23 in three seasons in charge of Howard Payne. Harris was a quarterback at Mary Hardin-Baylor who cut his teeth in the coaching ranks at Texas Lutheran.
