Andrew Mukuba is home.

The former Clemson safety, who started 31 of 35 games over the past three seasons, announced Texas as his transfer destination. Mukuba was the No.1-rated safety on the transfer market, and picked the Longhorns after a visit this weekend.

Mukuba was a four-star safety out of Austin LBJ in the class of 2021 who made an immediate impact for Clemson, earning Freshman All-American honors and ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year. He recorded 95 tackles and 11 pass breakups over the last two seasons.

Mukuba is a massive addition for a Texas defense that ranked 95th in the nation in passing yards allowed and lost safety Jalen Catalon to the portal. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining.
