Last weekend Bishop Dunne 2020 LB Brennon Scott (6'2, 220) helped lead the Falcons to an impressive 42-0 win over St. Pius X in the second round of the TAPPS DI playoffs.
"We have great coaches over here," Scott said. "They sit down and watch hours of film every day. They get our minds right for each game we play. We just come out and execute. We just play with a lot of heart, we play together, we win."
"We really worked hard through the spring, summer, and in the off-season for this. Last year we lost in the second round out, but we came back with that fighting pride. We just play with our hearts."
Scott has collected nearly 20 scholarships with verbal offers coming from schools like Arizona State, Baylor, Florida, Georgia, Houston, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and SMU.
"I was really excited when I got Oklahoma, because that is a big-time school, and after I got Oklahoma I really got out there, and a lot of the other coaches started hitting me up," Scott answered when asked about some of his most memorable recruiting moments thus far.
"I have got LSU, Georgia, A&M. It means a lot seeing that they recognize my ability."
Are there any offers that Scott is still hungry to receive?
"I want Texas," Scott stated. "I'm not going to lie to you. I like Texas, and I could use that offer. I took a visit up there when they played West Virginia and I just really like the atmosphere. It felt amazing to me when I got there. Even though they got the L, they still played with their hearts out until the end, and I liked that."
Oklahoma will face Texas in the Big 12 Championship game on Saturday.
