Thomas Lott

San Antonio Jay High School

_

Inducted in 2010

A wizard in the wishbone offense, Lott ran past and over countless tacklers at San Antonio Jay in the early 1970s. As a junior and senior, he piled up consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons, earning first-team PARADE All-America honors as a senior in 1974. Following that season, he signed with Oklahoma and led the Sooners to a 26-5-1 record as the starting quarterback from 1976-78. Switzer once called Lott, who led the Sooners to three straight Big 8 titles, the "greatest wishbone quarterback in Oklahoma history." Lott was inducted into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.
