Inducted in 1996

A two-way all-state pick at linebacker and running back, Greathouse led the Amarillo Sandies to the 1940 state championship with a 20-7 win over Temple. Opposing coaches recognized him as one of the hardest hitters and most vicious tacklers in West Texas. He lettered three years with the Oklahoma Sooners (1942, 1946-1947) under legendary Coach Bud Wilkinson.
