Jerry Tubbs was a three-year starter for Breckenridge High School, earning All-State and All-American honors as a senior. Breckenridge won state championships his junior and senior years. Tubbs played center and was co-captain of the team. He went on to star at Oklahoma, becoming a unanimous All-American his senior year. OU was never beaten during the period Tubbs played. He went on to star in pro football and now is a Dallas Cowboy Coach.
