Inducted in 2008

Nicknamed "Big Connie" and "Madman Magouirk" for his physical running style, Magouirk punished opposing tacklers. As a senior in 1948, he bludgeoned his way to more than 2,000 yards and 33 touchdowns and led London to a 13-1 record, earning a spot on The Sporting News' high school all-America team. Magouirk signed with Texas A&M and played from 1950-53, leading the Aggies in rushing his final two seasons despite being voted "best blocking back" by his teammates. Following graduation he spent three years in the Air Force, earning a spot on the service's worldwide all-star football team, then played briefly for the Detroit Lions before entering banking.
