Texas High School Football Hall of Fame Inductees: Charley Taylor

Charley Taylor earned PVIL All-State honors in football and track at Dalworth High School. He went on to play at Arizona State, where he earned All-American honors in 1962 and 1963. The Washington Redskins selected Taylor with the third overall pick in the 1964 Draft. He played 13 seasons with the Redskins, catching 649 passes for 9,110 yards and 79 touchdowns. He was a 5-time All-NFC selection, an 8-time Pro Bowler and is a member of the Redskins’ Ring of Fame.
