Buster Mills was Mr. Great at Ranger High School in 1926. A great runner and passer, he was an excellent drop-kicker and is considered the best punter in the history of the Texas Interscholastic League. He once kicked a football 100 yards against Cisco and drop-kicked two field goals to beat Abilene after his running and passing led to a touchdown. The final score was 13-7.His drop-kick field goal in a dust storm to defeat Cisco is still talked about to this day.
