Britt Hager led the Odessa Permian Panthers to three consecutive district championships from 1981-1983. As a senior he was selected as a member of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine Super Team, made the All-State team and helped Permian advance to the 1983 quarter-finals. He was also selected to play in the 1984 THSCA All-Star Game. Hager continued his assault on opponents’ offenses at the University of Texas from 1984-1988. He was voted All-SWC linebacker twice (1987 & 1988) and made the All-America team as a senior. During his career he set Longhorn records for tackles in a season (195), solo tackles in a season (120) and career tackles (499). Hager played nine seasons in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles (1989-1994), Denver Broncos (1995-1996) and Los Angeles Rams (1997). He currently works for Feste Capital in Austin.
