McMillin was an outstanding quarterback to Fort Worth’s Northside High School in 1913-15. McMillin was a tremendous field runner and passer. In 1968, TCU’s Dutch Meyer and former SMU coach Matty Bell called McMillin one of the best quarterbacks in the first fifty years of Texas high school football. Bo later made Little All-American at Centre College in Kentucky. After playing pro for two years, McMillin began a twenty-six year coaching career that included bringing Indiana their first Big 10 title ever in 1945. Bo was chosen college coach of the year in 1945 and in 1956 was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Bo McMillin died in 1952 at age 57.
